Dear Kathleen,

I’m sorry but the minimum score to be considered for admission to NEC is still 79.  This is why we do not offer conditional acceptances to students with scores lower than 79.  Students must receive a score of at least 88 iBT in order to pass out of any ESL courses.  If incoming students have a score between 79 and 88, they must take ESL courses at NEC.

Final TOEFL scores are due March 1, 2013, so you still have time to take the test again.  I’m sorry I can’t give you a better answer than this, but it’s NEC’s policy.
