Keyboard Audition Information

Piano majors must upload a pre-screening video through the School of usic's GetAcceptd portal as noted in their links above. The faculty will then decide whether to invite you for a live audition. If you receive an invitation through GetAcceptd, you may then schedule your live audition through GetAcceptd as well.

For Piano, prior to an invitation to present a live audition, all applicants must upload all required materials with the electronic application. A pre-screen video audition must also be uploaded into the School of Music's portal through GetAcceptd. The application and materials, and the pre-screen audition, must all be completed by November 30, 2018. Go to Graduate Students - How to Apply for instructions.

The DMA pre-screen audition must include (1) one movement of a sonata, and (2) one Etude of virtuosity. The MM or MA pre-screen audition must include (1) the first movement of a sonata, and (2) a contrasting work.

After the faculty has reviewed the piano pre-screen audition and supporting materials, the applicant will be notified through GetAcceptd whether or not they will be invited for a live audition. If you receive an audition invitation, you may then schedule your live audition through the GetAcceptd portal. The decision of the faculty is final.
