Voice Audition Information

Woodwind

l  All applicants must upload a video recording for preliminary evaluation purposes along with all other application materials by the priority music application deadline.

l  The requirements for the video recording are the same as the live audition requirements.

Woodwind (MM)

Flute:

l  Three orchestral excerpts

l  One movement of a concerto

l  Two pieces of contrasting style

Clarinet:

l  Extended major and minor scales

l  A complete concerto

Oboe:

l  Three orchestral excerpts of contrasting styles and periods

l  One movement of a concerto, one movement of a sonata in contrasting styles and periods

Bassoon:

l  Three orchestral excerpts

l  Two movements of a concerto or sonata

Saxophone:

l  Two contrasting major works

Woodwind (DMA)

l  All DMA woodwind applicants must present a sixty-minute recital including works of contrasting styles.
