Voice Audition Information

Trumpet (BM)

l  Demonstrate both lyrical and technical performance at the individual’s highest musical level through solos, études or excerpts.

l  Prepare 7 - 10 minutes of music to equally demonstrate styles. Scales to demonstrate agility and range, as well as sight-reading, are also required.

l  A sound system will be available for the use of optional Smart Music accompaniment.

Composition, BME, Music Production & Recording Technology and Music Therapy

l  Prepared étude and/or solo demonstrating level of proficiency in both lyrical and technical performance.

l  Scales and sight-reading are required.

Trombone (BM)

l  Prepared étude and solo demonstrating level of proficiency.

l  Scales and sight-reading are required.

Horn (BM)

l  First movement of a Horn Concerto by Mozart, Richard Strauss or Franz Strauss, or an equivalent piece from the standard horn solo repertoire.

l  One additional solo or étude of your choice.

l  All major scales, two octaves, as possible, and a demonstration of sight-reading are required.

Euphonium (BM)

l  Prepared étude and solo demonstrating contrasting styles and current level of proficiency.

l  Scales and sight-reading are required.

Tuba (BM)

l  Prepared étude and solo demonstrating contrasting styles and current level of proficiency.

l  Scales and sight-reading are required.
